ACT ONE

OPEN ON

Ext. Wasraw – dilapidated city streets – gloomy – day

CLOSE ON (SV) Gabriel’s feet as he runs down the middle of a street. FADE TO

CLOSE ON (FV) Gabriel’s face while he pants heavily.

CLOSE ON (SV) the upper-half of Gabriel’s face.

Gabriel
Th-this isn’t right.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s feet as he skids to a stop.

CLOSE ON (SV) Gabriel’s face as he arcs forward a bit but quickly stands up right.

Hmm…

POV – Gabriel – PAN around the intersection surrounding him, seeing nothing but an empty street with rows of small, dilapidated homes on each side of the road.

WIDEN ON (OV) Gabriel while he stands in the middle of the intersection, looking in all directions.

Where is everybody?

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s right hand while he pounds it against the front door of someone’s house, despite his hands being in casts because of his fractured wrists.

POV – behind Gabriel – (without his jacket on) he continues to pound at the door.

Come on! There has to be someone in one of these homes, PLEASE open up!

(SV) Gabriel stops pounding at the door as he turns his head to the right, noticing something (OS).

Huh?

POV – Gabriel – from the right side of the street a ball about the size of a soccer ball rolls into the middle of a deserted intersection as a young boy catches up to it and picks it up. The boy notices Gabriel and stares back at him.

CLOSE ON the boy’s face as his eyes widen and he lets out a gasp.

POV – Gabriel – the boy ditches the ball as he runs back down the street (going OS).

CLOSE ON Gabriel, he blinks and fully turns to his right and holding out his left hand.

Uh? Hey kid! Wait!!

CLOSE ON the boy’s feet as he turns right and runs into his home (OS). Just then, Gabriel makes it into the intersection seeing where the boy fled.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s right hand pounding on front door of the house the boy fled into.

(SV) Gabriel pounds on the door with a growing frustration.

I know you’re in there! I promise I’m not here to hurt you though ! I’m not one of The Enforcers! …I know this isn’t right and I only want to help!!!

Boy’s mother (OS)
JUST GO AWAY!!

Gabriel
Huh?!

Gabriel stops pounding and his eyes widen with surprise.

Boy’s mother (OS)
We don’t want your pity or your false hope. We’re monsters and we’ve leaved to accept that…. So please, just leave my family alone!

Gabriel closes his eyes and bangs his head against the door as he clinches his right fist.

CLOSE ON (SV) Gabriel’s very frustrated face while he grits his teeth and growls increasingly louder.

Int. the family’s house – living room

In the dimly lit room the mother sits against the other side of the front door with a baby in her arms while her very young son and daughter cling to each side of her. Beside the door is a barricaded window with a bit of light shining through the gaps.

Ext. Wasraw – dilapidated city street – gloomy – day

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s feet as his run quickly loses pace.

(FV) Gabriel stops completely, lowering his face and raising his left fist. He quickly turns around to face the street in the background with his arms spread out.

Gabriel
Doesn’t anyone here think they deserve better then this!?

POV – Gabriel – the street ahead remains silent, with no response except a single bird in the distance taking flight from a rooftop into the sky.

CLOSE ON (SV) Gabriel as he turns around slowly with his eyes closed. After pausing for a moment he opens his eyes and dashes onward (going OS).

CLOSE ON the boy’s abandoned dark gray ball with a big bright orange spot on the top, bottom, left, right, back and front sides while Gabriel’s shadow quickly passes over it.

CLOSE ON a pigeon like bird with longer wings while it flies in the sky. After a momentary peaceful flight it takes an elegant descend rightwards. PAN over the birds and it swoops over a row of narrow houses. ZOOM IN on the one house in the middle without its windows barricaded.

Int. Jacob’s house – kitchen

CLOSE ON (FV) Jacob while he sits at the table with his eyes closed and a calm smile.

Jacob
My, my, cereal for breakfast and cereal for lunch, you two really must like it.

POV – Jacob – on the other side of the table Hiryuu leans right down over his bowl as he quickly eats his cereal while Calcifer has the bowl tilted right in front of his face as he shovels cereal in, splattering milk everywhere.

CLOSE ON (SV) Aaliyah sitting beside Jacob as she watches the boys eat with her palm against her cheek. She blows some of her hair away from her face.

Aaliyah
(appalled)
They’re like pigs; they’ll eat their own hand if you dipped it in sugar.

ZOOM OUT to Jacob as he chuckles light.

Jacob
(amused)
I just hope you boys really don’t mind Merrios, not simply being polite because it’s all I have.

POV – Jacob – Calcifer finishes eating and slams his empty bowl down on the table with a big grin on his face.

Calcifer
Naaaaah, I don’t mind Merrios at all. Me personally, I’m more of a Sweetie Flakes kind of guy.

Calcifer looks over at Hiryuu while he continues to chow down over his bowl of cereal.

How about you Hiryuu?

POV – Calcifer – Hiryuu looks up at Calcifer at the corner of his eye.

(OS)
Still addicted to Lucky Emblems? Or have we moved onto Carrot Jacks?

Hiryuu snaps and quickly looks up at Calcifer (OS), irritated.

Hiryuu
(irritated)
Hey! Quit it with all the rabbit jokes already!

POV – behind/beside Hiryuu’s head – Calcifer rubs the back of his head while he looks away to his left.

Calcifer
Bah, you’re 17; the same age as me and Ceres, start acting like it.

Hiryuu
You’re one to talk…mm…

Hiryuu turns his head away from Calcifer and looks down.

You know I’m not like that…

CLOSE ON Calcifer as he rolls his eyes and sighs.

POV – Jacob – Calcifer puts his hands on his hips and looks at Hiryuu while he stares down into his milk filled bowl.

Calcifer
Now don’t start giving me this “well that just who I am” garbage.

Calcifer leans over and puts his arm around his brother’s shoulder.

CLOSE ON the two brothers Calcifer presses his cheek up against Hiryuu’s and looks over at him.

(sincerely)
Just because you’re the youngest of the three of us by a couple minutes, doesn’t mean you have to be the weak one.

POV – Hiryuu and Calcifer – Aaliyah blinks and lowers her left hand from her cheek, watching the brothers with astounded surprise.

Aaliyah
(thinking)
Wow…Calcifer’s actually got a sincere side to him.

POV – Jacob and Aaliyah – Hiryuu looks over at Calcifer with a bit of a revived smile.

Hiryuu
(softly)
Ah…so I don’t have to be the weak one…just like how you don’t have to be the dumb one?

Calcifer laughs as he playfully rams Hiryuu’s face right into his bowl spilling milk everywhere while he then sits up right victoriously with his hands on his hip and a humongous grin.

Calcifer
There we go! That’s more like it brother! HA-HA, HA!

POV – Hiryuu and Calcifer – Aaliyah’s glimmering surprise diminishes as she slumps her cheek back against the palm of her left hand and a SWEAT-DROP appear over her head.

Aaliyah
(thinking, sarcastically)
A clearly short lived sincere side to say the least…

CLOSE ON (SV) Jacob while he sits at the table chuckling lightly.

Jacob
Ah…what I’d give to be young again.

CLOSE ON (SV) Aaliyah as she continues to watch the brothers (OS), she rolls her eyes and letting out a sigh. (OS) the front door opens and closes soon afterward. Aaliyah blinks and looks over to her right.

Aaliyah
Mm?

WIDEN behind Aaliyah as she and Jacob look to their right while Ceres walks out of the shadows of the living room into the kitchen.

Ceres,

POV – over Ceres’ shoulder – Aaliyah tilts her head a bit while looking up at Ceres.

Where’s Gabriel?

POV – behind Hiryuu – Hiryuu sits up slowly while Ceres stands at the front of the table.

Ceres
I can’t say for sure. We talked for a bit in front of the site where that Carnage Type was killed but it looked like he needed more time to think, so I decided to come back on my own.

CLOSE ON Aaliyah as she closes her eyes and sighs again, slouching her chin on top her folded arms.

Aaliyah
It’s never a good idea to leave that guy on his own when he’s in one of his moods. Then again…based on personal experience being along side him doesn’t make much of a difference

CLOSE ON Ceres as he pulls out a chair and sits at the table, putting his hands together and up to his mouth.

Ceres
So, now what do we do about Bell?

POV – Ceres – Calcifer and Hiryuu both blink and stare back at Ceres with an awkward blankness.

Hiryuu
Uh,

Calcifer
Er…

CLOSE ON Aaliyah as she lifts her head up and looks over at the living room (OS) with narrowed eyes.

Aaliyah
Mm…

CLOSE ON Jacob while he looks over at Ceres, blinking lightly and keeping quiet.

Jacob
Hmm…

CLOSE ON Ceres as he looks over his shoulder at the living room on the other side of the doorframe behind him.

Ceres
It’s been three days now,

Int. Jacob’s house – living room

(FV) Bell sits cloaked in a blanket while she stares numbly out the window (OS) while Ceres, looks over at her from the kitchen doorframe in the background.

The lack of nutrition alone is already unhealthy.

Int. Jacob’s house – kitchen

WIDEN behind Ceres as everyone sits there in an awkward silence.

POV – Ceres – Calcifer points at Aaliyah with his spoon.

Calcifer
Aaliyah go talk to her, you know her better then the rest of us.

PAN over to Aaliyah as she sits up quickly and slams her right hand against the table.

Aaliyah
What?! Only by about three weeks then you bozos!

Calcifer (OS)
Yeaaah, well, um…loss of a boyfriend that got turned into a giant monster. It just seems like something that’d be easier to talk about with another girl. You know, instead of some guy she’s just met.

Aaliyah
Uh? Hey! Until recently the only person I’ve ever socialized with was Gabriel, I wont know what to say to her!

Aaliyah points over at Bell in the living room (OS).

It was awkward enough dealing with her on my own when we first came to Wasraw!

CLOSE ON Ceres as he closes his eyes, taping his index finger quietly.

Ceres
I’m actually inclined to agree with Calcifer on this one. Considering the circumstances of what happened.

WIDEN behind Ceres and the kitchen table, as there’s another pause of awkward silence.

CLOSE ON Aaliyah’s hands as she slams them against the table.

WIDEN behind Ceres and the kitchen table as Aaliyah forcefully grinds out of her seat and stands up.

Aaliyah
(annoyed/angered)
GR…Fine.

Aaliyah gruntingly stomps out of the kitchen.

Int. Jacob’s house – living room

(FV) Bell sits in front of the window quickly as Aaliyah slowly walks up behind her.

CLOSE ON (SV) Aaliyah as she stops.

Aaliyah
(awkwardly)
Uh…uh, Bell?

PAN over to Bell’s face while she doesn’t even blink.

Bell
(faintly)
Y-yes…?

CLOSE ON (UV) Aaliyah’s face as she grits her teeth, eyes wide, surprised that she got a response.

WIDEN ON Bell sitting on a chair in front of the window with Aaliyah standing close behind her.

Aaliyah
…I’m…I’m sorry about what happened…

CLOSE ON Aaliyah’s left arm while she rubs it.

About what happened to Terry…

Bell (OS)
……It’s ok.

Aaliyah suddenly grips her arm tightly.

CLOSE ON (UV) Aaliyah’s face as her eyes turn desperate, on the verge of forming tears.

Aaliyah
No Bell! I mean it! I’m sorry about what happened! …

WIDEN ON Bell and Aaliyah.

It’s my fault…you knew your away around this city too! I could’ve told him to not get in the way! In the back of my head I kept thinking he would but what did I say? “Hurry up and lead the freaking way!!!”

CLOSE ON (UV) Aaliyah’s face as she closes her eyes, holding back her tears.

Bell (OS)
It’s ok…

Aaliyah’s eyes open quickly, looking at Bell while tears escape down her cheek.

Aaliyah
Huh?!

POV – Aaliyah – looking down at Bell quickly.

Bell
When he was near, you saw a glimmer of the side of me you preferred…you didn’t want that to fade…so you found a use for him... I understand that…and it’s ok…

CLOSE ON (UV) Aaliyah as she holds her head, losing herself in frustration.

Aaliyah
No it’s not!!! BELL! I walked you’re boyfriend to his death!! Why can’t you at least yell at me or something!?!

CLOSE ON a chair beside Aaliyah as she kicks into the wall, breaking it to pieces.

(OS)
DAMN IT!!!!

POV – doorframe – Jacob looks over at the scene in the living room with Calcifer and Hiryuu leaning over the table and watching as well, Ceres minds his own business, not turning to watch.

Jacob
Oh my…that was my favorite chair too…

POV – over Aaliyah’s shoulder – she lowers her head, unable to hold back her sobs.

Aaliyah
Frig…damn it…

CLOSE ON Aaliyah as she falls to her knees pounding the floor a bit.

I’ve never had a friend who was a girl before…I suck at this…

POV – Aaliyah – Bell raised her head up a little.

Bell
I’m…you’re friend…?

CLOSE ON Bell’s face, her widened eyes barely showing through the shadow of the blanket over her head while over her shoulder in the background, Aaliyah quickly tries to put herself together, whipping her tears away.

Aaliyah
I guess…it might not have taken a broken nose and a black eye for it to form…but maybe I just expect there to be retaliation…I’m not used to someone who doesn’t fight back…

Bell
Uh…huh…?

Aaliyah
Huh…? What is it Bell…?

CLOSE ON (SV) Bell’s head while she looks out the window, slowly sliding the blanket off from over her head.

Bell
I…I…I think that’s Gabriel out there…

Aaliyah quickly gets up and leans over Bell’s shoulder as she looks out the window.

Aaliyah
Huh?!

POV – Aaliyah and Bell – outside across the street Gabriel goes up to someone’s home and begins pounding away at the door.

CLOSE ON (SV) Aaliyah and Bell as Aaliyah grits her teeth.

That idiot.

Ext. Jacob’s house – gloomy day – afternoon

CLOSE ON Gabriel while he pounds at the front door of someone’s house across the street.

Gabriel
COME ON! They’ll kill you if you don’t do something about it!

Aaliyah (OS)
GABRIEL!!!

Gabriel
Huh?

Gabriel stops pounding on the door and turns around.

POV – Gabriel – Aaliyah stands at the front of Jacob’s house with her hands on her hips, looking very annoyed.

(OS)
Aaliyah?

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face as he blinks.

I didn’t realize I found my way back here…

POV – Gabriel – Aaliyah points out at him sternly.

Aaliyah
What’re you doing pounding on people’s front doors? That’s only going to make your injuries worse!

POV – over Aaliyah’s shoulder – Gabriel holds his arms out as he stares back at Aaliyah.

Gabriel
I don’t care! Someone in this concentration camp half of a city has to be willing to stand up against this Project and I’m going to find them!

Jacob (OS)
You’re not going to find anyone, Gabriel.

Gabriel
Huh?

CLOSE ON Jacob as he walks up from behind Aaliyah, only reaching up to her knee.

(OS)
And why not?!

Jacob raises his right hand and taps downward.

Jacob
Look down at your shoe and you’ll find the answer.

CLOSE ON (UV) Gabriel as he looks down and raises an eyebrow.

Gabriel
Huh?

POV – Gabriel – looking down at his foot he sees some kind of small poster stuck to his shoe.

CLOSE ON the poster with a big bolded titling filled with smaller details underneath.

CLOSE ON (UV) Gabriel’s face as he keeps his eyebrow raised, looking further confused.

“Destroy the demon the lives within”? Huh?

Gabriel looks ahead at Jacob and Aaliyah (OS).

CLOSE ON Jacob as he closes his eyes and lets out a small sigh.

END OF ACT ONE

ACT TWO

OPEN ON

FADE IN BLACK on an old book left open on a desk with a spotlight beams down on it.

Jacob (VO)
The discrimination against Sin Prodigies is something that’s existed since days of their discovery,

The pages of the book begin flipping quickly. ZOOM IN on and OVER the book as the pages turn quicker.

About 1400 years ago…

ZOOM IN quickly on the book and CUT TO descending down a green and black tunnel with ghostly hums and clock ticking sounds echoing about.

In the year 593.ARG…

Suddenly the tunnel end as colors spiral and quickly take shape out the outside of a kingdom. (Everything in the following scene is in a silhouette effect. Meaning that all the people, objects and structures are black while any shadows and lines that give everything definition are in shades of orange, green and red near the end.)

It was at a kingdom in the northeastern lands of Pangaea.

Int. castle courtyard.

ZOOM OUT slowly from The Seal of All Sin sitting on a silk pillow on top of a pedestal.

The ruler of the land, King Julius Kameato was holding a ceremony to crown his son the next guardian of The Seal of All Sin.

(OV) PAN around the many crowds of people watching the ceremony.

Everyone in the kingdom was there; even many others from lands near and far came to witness the event.

CLOSE ON a couple people at the front of the crowd as a young man wearing a tri-cornered hat squeezes his way between them.

And amongst the crowds was a common thief by the name of Mathias Blackhawk.

Mathias suddenly makes a dash forward (going OS).

He charged towards The Seal.

WIDEN ON the king as he stands up from his throne and swiftly points ahead at Mathias (OS). The guards around him quickly respond as they pull out their bows and take aim.

The kings’ men were quick to act.

CLOSE ON (SV) Mathias while he’s simultaneously struck by arrow after arrow from all directions. He collapses to his knees in front of a staircase and slowly tries to crawl up to the top of the stone platform.

But despite his many wounds, Mathias continued on his knees towards The Seal.

Mathias desperately crawls across the stone platform with arrows sticking out from all over his body.

POV – right of the pedestal – Mathias keeps crawling to the front of the pedestal while he shakes and bleeds immensely.

People were shocked as they watched, expecting the enviable death, yet he did not fall.

CLOSE ON (OV) Mathias as he raises his head slowly with his eyes remaining hidden under his hat, only revealing his smile, tainted by the pain flowing through his body.

CLOSE ON (SV) The Seal of All Sin as Mathias’s hand reaches out and grabs it.

He grabbed The Seal.

He pulls The Seal down from its silk pillow.

CLOSE ON Mathias while he’s sitting down, gazing at The Seal of All Sin in the palm of his hand.

And soon after that moment when The Seal was in his hands, something completely unexpected happened.

Suddenly The Seal begins to spark and glow brightly, soon covering the entire screen in a blinding light. The light fades away to REVEAL (UV) a monstrous being with demonic bony legs, long skinny arms with long spiky fingers, long hair, an anorexic body and a short tail. The creature roars in stance similar to a werewolf howling in the night.

It has turned the thief into a horrendous monster.

Guards and knights quickly surround the creature.

CLOSE ON (OV) The Seal of All Sin lying under the creature. FADE TO The Seal now perched once again on a silk pillow, ZOOM OUT slowly to REVEAL an entire shrine room that looks identical to one in Gabriel’s home.

The monster was quickly defeated and its remains were buried. The Seal was retrieved and duty of guarding it was passed down to the king’s son, as intended. But fear and panic would brew while the questioned remained; why did thief’s touch invoke the dark magic within The Seal of All Sin? Such a thing never occurred with any of the Seal Guardians or anyone in the royal family. Even the thief seemed unaware of what happened when he held The Seal in his hand.

Ext. kingdom’s peasant district - day

WIDEN ON a knight getting off of his horse as he goes up to a group of peasants and unfolds a sheet of paper (featuring a sketch of the thief).

And so, it was later discovered that Mathias Blackhawk was not originally a thief, but rather a slave. He managed to escape and saw The Seal as a way to pay for his freedom.

PAN right into the shadows and into the next scene.

Ext. slave camp – dilapidated stone brick shelter – night

POV – Doorframe – a lit candle provides light in the room of the shadows of women struggling and screaming against the grip of a man can be seen against the right wall.

As it turns out, Mathias’s mother was also a slave. Who, like many other female slaves had horrible things done to them in order to conceive a child. The child born would then be put to work the moment they could carry a bucket of water on their own.

PAN right into more shadows and the next scene.

Int. King’s throne room

CLOSE ON the king, seating at his throne as he leans forward resting his face against his left hand while surrounded by his advisors.

Now with this knowledge, the king had to make a decision. The panic amongst peasants and royalty was reaching its limits. So, taking into consideration the words of his advisors, the king made his decision.

Ext. castle balcony – day

CLOSE ON (UV) the king as he walks up to the front balcony, looking down at his people (OS), he holds his arms up in the air.

Once again, the people gathered as he stood before them and made three proclamations. The first being that the reason the thief’s touch invoked the dark magic of The Seal was because he was born out of sinful intent. The second proclamation was from that point on, any woman that bares a child MUST give the reason for conception. This rule was to be spread throughout Pangaea as the only safe way to determine whether a child would have same ability to invoke The Seal’s monstrous power. Those whose reasons for conception were considered of sinful intent would then be given the title, Sin Prodigy.

POV – back of the crowd – looking up at the king as he continues to speak.

And lastly…in order to prevent a repeat of what happened at the ceremony, the king ordered that at all the slaves be killed. It could’ve only been highly assumed that every single one of them, especially the children, were born out of sinful intent, making them a threat to the well being of everyone else…

The people in the crowds all throw their arms in the air and cheer out after the king lowers his arms, finishing his proclamations. PAN up into the orange sky.

The crowds cheered and the king’s proclamations were followed. All the slaves in the land were slaughtered. Children who’re born and deemed Sin Prodigies would be stoned by villagers or killed at birth by their own parents. It was a horrible, and dark time to be given such a label. But over the years, the term Sin Prodigy faded into the dusty books of history.

FADE IN BLACK

And in this modern age, only three types of people really know what a Sin Prodigy is: Historians, The Enforcers…and the residents of Wasraw.

END FLASHBACK

Ext. wide field - day

CLOSE ON (FV) the left wheel of an armored pickup truck as it roars down a road.

WIDEN ON (FV) the long row of trucks traveling down the road with a grassy field on each side.

Int. leading truck

POV – outside the passenger seat – Lucifer sits back with his arms folded and a cold glare while the Enforcer beside him just drives without a word.

The trucks drove through Wasraw for the first time about 8 months ago.

Int. Jacob’s house – kitchen

CLOSE ON the propaganda poster that was under Gabriel’s shoe as Jacob taps it lightly.

They began by putting up posters like these, which provided vague and bias details about Sin Prodigies and what would be happening to Wasraw, now that they had the authority to go through with the Genocide of Sin Project.

Gabriel’s fist suddenly bangs over the poster.

Gabriel (OS)
(outraged)
You’re kidding me!!!

POV – over Jacob’s shoulder – Gabriel leans toward Jacob over the kitchen table, snarling as he almost jumps out of his seat. Aaliyah leans over trying to pull him back with a slightly annoyed expression.

Aaliyah
Gabriel!! Jeez, what’d I tell you about banging your hands like that?

Gabriel
How could the Governmental Legion of Pangaea actually approve all of this?!

POV – Gabriel – Jacob (on the other side of the table) closes his eyes and nods, putting his hands together.

Jacob
No idea…but with the success of their propaganda, it didn’t take long for these Enforcers gain Wasraw’s approval as well.

FLASH BACK

Int. Jacob’s house – living room

WIDEN behind Jacob while he sits on his “favorite chair” in front of the window.

(VO)
At the same time while their propaganda spread throughout the city, they were already splitting the city in two, turning the left half into a concentration camp.

POV – over Jacob’s shoulder – outside, an ongoing row of people walk down the right side of the road with their hands on their heads while being guided along by Enforcers.

Those on the right half, whose birth records deemed them a Sin Prodigy, were forced from their homes and assigned new ones here. While people on the left half, who weren’t Sin Prodigies but forced to move, were given a very generous settlement in return for complying with the situation.

CLOSE ON (SV) Jacob while he watches everything happening outside quietly.

I’m a Sin Prodigy who already lived on the left half of Wasraw. So during that winter, I only had to experience was the sight of everything I called home for many years change before my eyes …the process only took them a few months.

FADE IN BLACK

END FLASHBACK

Ext. random city – day

WIDEN (OV) a street in the city as The Enforcers’ trucks begin to stop outside people’s houses.

Soon after Wasraw was separated they began striking other near by cities.

The truck doors open as Enforcers rush towards the houses they’re parked outside of.

Int. random house – living room

The front door gets kicked down as three Enforcers rush in. PAN over to the family huddled together across from the door as two Enforcers grab a hold of the smallest child while the third holds out a document to the family that declares their child a Sun Prodigy.

Invading the homes of anyone who’s been deemed a Sin Prodigy.

CLOSE ON the mother as she pleads with tears in her eyes for her child not to be taken away from her.

But in most cases only one member of the family was actually a Sin Prodigy.

WIDEN ON the family as the Enforcers point at the door, instructing them while they willingly walk out of their home with their hands on their heads.

So as a result, many entire families have been brought here simply because they didn’t want to be separated.

WIDEN ON an ostrich like bird with much longer wings grazing peacefully in the field as the Enforcers’ armored cargo trucks, now filled with people in the back travel left down the road behind the bird.

(FV) Lucifer stands in the passenger seat with his arms folded while the Enforcer beside him drives. Suddenly the phone built into the dashboard rings, Lucifer picks it up.

POV – ceiling – looking down at Gabriel, Aaliyah, Hiryuu, Calcifer, Ceres and Jacob seated around the kitchen table (with the west side of the table left open).

Unlike the right side of Wasraw, the left has been severely under funded, quickly turning it into a depressing ghetto, barely supplying us with just enough of what we need to survive.

POV – Jacob – Gabriel leans in a bit with a serious look while Aaliyah keeps leaned back beside him.

When my family lived in Wasraw, Terry’s family were neighbors of ours...

CLOSE ON Bell as she pulls out a seat beside Jacob and sits down quietly, looking ahead at everyone (OS) still in a bit of a daze.

We never wanted to lose anyone we cherished so deeply, or ever allow anything bad to happen to them. So when they were deemed Sin Prodigies, we decided to help by allowing them to hide in our bakery until things calmed down.

POV – beside Bell – looking ahead at Aaliyah, Gabriel and Hiryuu (seen OS) while they watch Bell intently.

CLOSE ON Gabriel looking down at Ceres (OS) with an insulted anger in his eyes.

The Enforcers’ project is flawed, just you watch. If we stay out of the way and do nothing, you’ll see it all fall through because of a missing screw in its complex structure.

CLOSE ON Hiryuu and Calcifer as they look over at Ceres.

CLOSE ON Bell as she looks to her left with a glimmer in her eyes at Gabriel as he just walks through the kitchen doorframe.

WIDEN ON Hiryuu, Calcifer and Ceres. Calcifer and Hiryuu look over at each other while Ceres quietly stares over to his left.

CLOSE ON (FV) the right wheel of the leading armored cargo truck, PAN left as it drives forward in the misted of a fog.

The single Enforcer driving the truck as he tiredly leans against the wheel while he drives. He suddenly notices something (OS) and quickly picks up.

WIDEN ON the bridge ahead as Gabriel steps out of the fog, with Hiryuu and Bell to his right, Aaliyah and Calcifer to his left and more then half of the Sin Prodigies in the entire concentration camp (deeper in the thousands) following behind him.

WIDEN ON (SV) the massive legion of people as they step across the bridge.

CLOSE ON Gabriel and the others at the front as they stop near the middle of the bridge to the concentration camp half of the city.

CLOSE ON (OV) and PAN across as the massive swarm of people begin linking arms with the people to each side of them in a beautifully elegant sequence.

CLOSE ON a little girl amongst the crowd as she looks up at her parents, joining arms with both of them.

(SV) the Enforcer continues to head towards the crowd with the phone back up against his ear.

(FV) The Enforcers face grows more panicked as he comes closer towards the people ahead.

GR…ER…ER…NO!!! I can’t!!!

Ext. Wasraw – bridge – day – gloomy & foggy

POV – front of the crowd – the lead truck suddenly makes a dangerously sharp turn, tipping the entire truck over as the people in the back go flying out into the crowd.

WIDEN (OV) the bridge as the other trucks try to evade and end up crashing into each other, the side railings of the bridge and tilting over because of sharp turns, creating a huge mess.

CLOSE ON the passenger door of Lucifer’s truck, now fallen over onto its side, Lucifer crawls out of the window and stands up on the door with fury just oozing off his face.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s face as he growls deeply.

WIDEN behind Lucifer to REVEAL all the destruction caused by that lead truck’s last second decision, all the people in the back of the trucks rushing towards the crowd.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face as he looks ahead, seeing Lucifer (OS).

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s left eye as it narrows into a deep glare.

(extremely cold)
Gabriel…

WIDEN ON Gabriel as the others around him smile, but he just looks ahead. He breaks the link with Aaliyah and Bell and steps forward, the girls blink as he does so.

Gabe?

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face as he grits his teeth.

It isn’t over yet.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s eyes as they narrow.

POV – Gabriel – Lucifer leaps down from his truck and glares straight ahead.

CLOSE ON (UV) Gabriel’s face as he grunts.
