Ext. Wasraw – bridge – day – gloomy & foggy

WIDEN and PAN behind Gabriel while standing across from Lucifer on the other side of the bridge.

CLOSE and PAN ON Bell, Hiryuu, Calcifer and Aaliyah standing at the front of the humongous crowd of Sin Prodigies behind Gabriel, looking on with excitement, edginess and worry.

CLOSE ON Aaliyah’s face while she stares ahead with a small frown and narrowed eyes.

CLOSE ON Hiryuu’s face while he nervously looks ahead, gritting his teeth.

CLOSE ON Calcifer’s excited face; wide eyed and smirking eagerly as he bounce a bit.

CLOSE ON Bell’s face, flooded with concern as she puts her hands together and over her mouth like she’s in prayer.

WIDEN between Gabriel and Lucifer with several tipped over and crashed into armored cargo trucks in the background.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Lucifer clinches his right fist, holding it up to his face.

Lucifer
You must really love getting in the way and making things difficult…

Lucifer thrusts his hand out at the trucks (OS).

WHAT is the meaning of this?!

Gabriel
Heh…same thing I told you when you asked why I’m here in Wasraw.

CLOSE ON (FV) Gabriel while he points ahead at Lucifer (OS).

I’m just making things right and I’ll start by putting you in your place!

CLOSE ON a small group Sin Prodigies worriedly watch the standoff between two of the trucks while others rush around in the background.

WIDEN ON (UV) an Enforcer as he stands on the door of a tipped over truck.

Enforcer #1
Commander Crow! The Sin Prodigies are fleeing into the crowd ahead!

CLOSE ON Lucifer while he has his head turned to his right, looking at the Enforcer on the truck (OS).

Lucifer
(irritated)
GR…let them! They’re all going to suffer the same fate anyway.

Lucifer looks ahead at Gabriel (OS) and growls.

CLOSE ON (FV) Gabriel as he thrusts his hand out to all the Sin Prodigies forming the human barricade behind him.

Gabriel
I’ve made a vow to these people, to defend them, to be their collective voices; I am these peoples’ guardian! What you’re doing is wrong…and we’re here to stand up against this Genocide.

CLOSE ON Lucifer as he smirks.

Lucifer
Hmph. So, I have to beat you to the ground before you’ll accept your family’s responsibility from God to guard The Seal of All Sin. Yet you’ll make it your own responsibility to guard these…freaks?

CLOSE ON Gabriel as he just stares ahead seriously, blinking once.

Gabriel
That’s right, I’ll guard these people before I guard The Seal…

POV – Gabriel – Lucifer folds his arms.

Lucifer
Heh, Well then,

(OV) PAN across numerous Sin Prodigies in the human barricade behind Gabriel as they intently watch ahead at the Gabriel and Lucifer.

(OS)
Since these Sin Prodigies’ newfound pride rides on your shoulders,

CLOSE ON (FV) Lucifer stand with his arms folded, cold stare and arms folded.

Why don’t we just settle this in a familiar fashion?

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s left hand (in a cast) as he clinches a fist.

(FV) Gabriel keeps a straight face as he looks ahead.

Gabriel
Hmph, you’re on.

(FV) Lucifer looks over his shoulder at all the trucks and Enforcers behind him in the distance.

Lucifer
(loudly)
Enforcers! Secure the right end of the bridge and stay at your post until I give further orders!!!

Lucifer looks ahead.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s feet as he steps toward Gabriel (OS).

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s feet as he steps toward Lucifer (OS).

WIDEN ON Bell, Hiryuu, Calcifer and Aaliyah while the sounds of Gabriel and Lucifer’s footsteps echo ominously.

WIDEN between Gabriel and Lucifer as step up to each other and seamlessly begin to walk in a circle, glaring at each other.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Lucifer just glares ahead.

(sarcastic)
Hmm, I hope those broken wrists of yours don’t affect your ability to fight. Last thing I’d want is for you to be at a disadvantage.

POV – over Lucifer’s shoulder – Gabriel smirks a little bit as he glares ahead.

Gabriel
Heh, I wouldn’t be too concerned about it. I’m more curious whether or not you really think people deemed Sin Prodigies are any different then you or me.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Lucifer unfolds his arms and grabs a hold of his jacket.

Lucifer
I’m curious as well. Making things right, being the guardian of Sin Prodigies before a guardian of The Seal…

POV – Lucifer – Gabriel looks ahead with an off guard curiosity.

(OS)
Why do you do it? Are these really your decisions?

POV – Gabriel – Lucifer stops, and so does Gabriel while starring straight at each other.

Or are you simply trying to atone for the things you allowed to happen back in Melodeena?

POV – Lucifer – Gabriel’s eyes widen as he gasps a bit under his breath.

CLOSE ON (OV) the ground behind Lucifer as he slides out of his jacket and lets it fall behind him.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s eyes as he glares ahead.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s eyes as he narrows them into an equally imposing glare.

WIDEN ON (SV) Lucifer standing on the left side of the bridge and Gabriel standing on the right as they stand 4ft from each other in a tight and quiet stare off. The wind blows ominously.

WIDEN ON the many Enforcers securing the right end of the bridge as they watching Gabriel and Lucifer (OS).

WIDEN ON Bell, Calcifer, Hiryuu and Aaliyah watching intently along with all of the Sin Prodigies right behind them.

CLOSE ON Calcifer while he stands with his fists raised, gritting his teeth eagerly waiting for either Gabriel or Lucifer to make the first move. FADE TO Calcifer crouching down now with his jaw dropped as he continues to wait. FADE TO Calcifer crouched with his arms lowered, his eagerness fading a little. FADE TO Calcifer crouched down lower, his arms drooped and a dumbfounded look on his face. FADE TO Calcifer crouched low enough that the back of his hands are touching the ground with he his head lowered comically

Calcifer
I can’t believe I’m saying this…

Calcifer lifts his head up slowly, looking ahead with comical anime-waterfall style tears coming down his cheeks.

But this “fight” is boring me to tears!

Calcifer holds his left hand out at Gabriel and Lucifer (OS).

What the heck is this?! They’re just starring at each other!

CLOSE ON (SV UV) Calcifer as Aaliyah on the other side of Hiryuu as leans back and looks down at him intensely.

Aaliyah
SHH! Quiet Calcifer!

CLOSE ON Aaliyah’s face as she looks down at Calcifer (OS).

With both his wrists broken, Gabe’s already at a disadvantage. If he doesn’t make his first move count it could be all over.

Aaliyah looks ahead at Gabriel and Lucifer (OS), gritting her teeth.

And to be frank this isn’t his style either. So as his fighting partner, even I don’t know what to expect.

CLOSE ON Calcifer as he looks ahead with his eyes drooped, crouched down with his hands reaching the floor.

Calcifer
(sarcastically)
Oh – greaaat…

CLOSE ON Ceres’ face while he looks ahead at the stand off (OS).

Ceres
It’s psychological warfare and extensive tactical thinking.

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres suddenly crouched down beside Calcifer and cutting him off guard as he jumps up onto his feet in a comical fashion.

Calcifer
AH! What’d I tell you about popping out of nowhere and saying a bunch of big words in a single sentence?

POV – Calcifer – looking down at Ceres while he looks back at Calcifer from the corner of his eye.

Ceres
Um…don’t?

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres crouched down beside Calcifer as he crouches back down beside him with a bit of a lost look on his face.

Calcifer
Yeeeeah.

PAN UP a bit ON Hiryuu as he looks down at Ceres with surprise.

Hiryuu
(surprise)
Brother? You weren’t with us when we assembled all the Sin Prodigies, how’d you get to the front of the barricade?

Ceres grins a little and closes his eyes as he turns his head forward.

Ceres
Hmm, I got my ways.

CLOSE ON (FV) Ceres and Calcifer while he blinks and leans his head in a closer towards his brother.

Calcifer
Soooo? Do you mind expanding on those big words of yours?

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres face as he opens his eyes, starring straight at the fight ahead.

Ceres
As Aaliyah said, the first move in this fight can mean the difference between defeat and victory for both of them.

POV – Ceres – watching the Lucifer and Gabriel starring at each other, just able to see the side of Lucifer’s face.

(OS)
They’re both well aware of that, so there’s no room for error.

POV – over Lucifer’s shoulder – Gabriel glares at Lucifer with a straight face.

(OS)
Lucifer’s already defeated Gabriel twice. So now, Gabriel can only learn from his mistakes, especially in his position.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Lucifer stares back coldly.

(OS)
Also, with two victories under his belt Lucifer can’t allow himself to belittle his opponent, he can only expect SOME improvement.

WIDEN ON Lucifer and Gabriel starring at each other.

(OS)
Gabriel has to think of something different that Lucifer won’t expect. Problem is that’s exactly what Lucifer expects. At the same time while Lucifer has to consider tactics Gabriel wouldn’t use, he has to keep in mind the obvious, for over thinking what Gabriel WOULDN’T do might be his tactic to put Lucifer in a blind spot. Gabriel however is in the exact same position; he can’t allow himself to think Lucifer hasn’t considered his plan or the possibility that his plan is a trick for a greater plan.

POV – beside Ceres – Calcifer looks over at Ceres and blinks with an extremely riddled look on his face.

Calcifer
(confused)
Wait, what? That’s ridiculous! It’s nothing but a circle!

Ceres
More like a spiral.

CLOSE ON (OV) Ceres face as he continues to stare ahead.

Calcifer
OOOH…I’m sorry Ceres, PLEASE do explain the difference.

POV – Ceres – looking ahead at Lucifer and Gabriel.

Ceres (OS)
While it may appear like a cycle…this is psychological warfare, eventually one of them is going to snap…it’s a descending spiral that’ll expose their only opportunity to strike, clinching victory.

CLOSE ON SPLIT SCREEN Lucifer and Gabriel’s left eyes as they both blink at the same time.

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres’ face as his eyes widen a little, but he remains calm.

And Lucifer just took the lead.

POV – beside Ceres – Calcifer blinks as he looks over at Ceres, then back at the fight, then again at Ceres in more confusion.

Calcifer
UH? How?

Ceres
Lucifer blinked first, and Gabriel followed.

Calcifer
Huh? So?

POV – Gabriel – Lucifer keeps his face emotionless as he stares ahead at Gabriel (OS).

Ceres (OS)
Lucifer put himself intentionally in a blind spot, but Gabriel didn’t attack, he assumed Lucifer was setting up a trap and copied him.

CLOSE ON (OV) Ceres’ face while he narrows his eyes.

He’s desperate.

Calcifer (OS)
Desperate?

POV – Lucifer – Gabriel stares ahead, his eyes slightly narrowed.

Ceres (OS)
This starring is an incredible strain on their eyes, if they don’t blink their vision will obscure, putting them in a blind spot. Gabriel was just waiting for Lucifer to blink so he can as well. Gabriel’s desperate and Lucifer knows this now.

POV – Gabriel – Lucifer continues to stare back at Gabriel without emotion.

(OS)
That was his plan; he’s gained complete control of the fight. All Lucifer has to do is continue starring at Gabriel, forcing him to endure the strain until he’s in a blind spot even when his eyes are open.

POV – Lucifer – Gabriel continues to stare at Lucifer (OS).

(OS)
If he blinks now he puts himself at risk, he’d has to consider Lucifer’s next move if he does blink and come up with a counter for it. At the same time he has to keep in mind Lucifer’s expecting those counters, so how he has to counter his own counters, putting himself in a descending spiral…while Lucifer found a way out.

POV – beside Ceres – Ceres and Calcifer both look ahead silently.

All he has to do now is wait for Gabriel to zone out…

Calcifer
And he’s done…

CLOSE ON Hiryuu’s face as he bites his lip nervously.

Hiryuu
Mm…

CLOSE ON (SV) Aaliyah’s face as she grits her teeth, eye twitching.

Aaliyah
Grr…come on…

CLOSE ON (FV) Bell’s face as she puts her hands over her mouth, eyes widened.

Bell
Gabriel…

FADE TO and PAN across some of the many Sin Prodigies as they all watch the fight and begin to worry a little.

POV – over Lucifer’s shoulder – Gabriel’s glare begins to weaken as he blinks again, looking ahead softly.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s left eye as his pupil begins to shrink.

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres’ face as his eyes widen.

Ceres
GR!! Right on cue…

CLOSE ON (SV) Calcifer as he looks over at Ceres (OS) in a panicked shock.

Calcifer
Uh?

Ceres (OS)
Gabriel’s zoning out, he’s in the perfect blind spot!

Calcifer
Oh jeez…

Calcifer looks over his shoulder.

WIDEN ON (FV) Calcifer crouched down and looking over his shoulders at all the Sin Prodigies behind him as they look on with dire hope in their eyes.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face as he just stands there, zoned out.

POV – Gabriel – looking over Lucifer’s shoulder at all his friends and Sin Prodigies standing united; yet worried in the distance.

Gabriel
(thinking)
Mia…

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s right eye as it widens intently.

Lucifer
(thinking)
I’ve got you…!

POV – behind Lucifer – Lucifer pulls his right fist back, his elbow going right up against the screen and then his tight fist as he twists back.

POV – Gabriel – looking ahead at Lucifer baring a cold and determined face while his held back fist blocks Gabriel’s sight of everyone in the distance behind his opponent.

Lucifer (VO)
Making things right, being the guardian of Sin Prodigies before a guardian of The Seal… Why do you do it? Are these really your decisions?

POV – Lucifer – Gabriel just stands there, eyes opened in a blank state.

Or are you simply trying to atone for the things you allowed to happen back in Melodeena?

POV – Gabriel – SLOW MOTION Lucifer swings his fist directly at (the screen) Gabriel.

CLOSE ON (SV) SLOW MOTION Lucifer’s fist as it races closer and closer towards Gabriel (OS).

Gabriel
(thinking)
It’s complicated…

FLASHBACK

Ext. Melodeena – city street – day

WIDEN ON the beautiful blue sky balanced perfectly with calm, puffy white clouds.

Mia (OS, 6 years old)
Hehehe, I’m doing it! Lookie! I’m really doing it!

PAN DOWN slowly, looking straight down the middle of the empty street outside the Kameato family estate as Mia rides down the middle of the sidewalk on her 2-wheeled bike with a several year old Gabriel and younger Andrea just outside the front gate of their home.

CLOSE ON Mia’s face as she smiles brightly with her eyes closed, absolutely delighted with her achievement as she rides. She opens her eyes and looks over her shoulder.

Are you watching mama?

POV – Mia – looking up the street at her mother and Gabriel standing in front of her waving.

Andrea
We’re watching honey! Just keep you’re eyes on where you’re going!

CLOSE ON Mia’s face while she looks over her shoulder.

Mia
Okie mama!

CLOSE ON the gears of Mia’s bike as her dress gets caught in it, causing her to quickly lose control of the bike.

CLOSE ON Mia’s face as she panics, screams a little and tries to stop but ends up fall to her left.

Wow-wow-AH!!

WIDEN ON Gabriel and Andrea as they witness Mia fall, Gabriel’s eyes widen quickly while his mother remains calm and simply covers her mouth.

Gabriel
Mia!!!

Andrea
Oh my…

POV – behind/over Gabriel – Gabriel looks down the sidewalk while Mia is lying on the sidewalk caught beside her bike, crying.

Mia
(in the distance, crying)
MOMMYYYYYYY!!! M-M-MOMMMMYYYYY!!!

Andrea puts her hand on Gabriel’s shoulder and he turns around, looking up at her.

Gabriel
Mommy…?

CLOSE ON a small first aid kit as Andrea holds it out to Gabriel (OS).

Andrea (OS)
Here…

WIDEN ON Gabriel looking up at his mother as she holds out the first aid kit to him.

Go help your little sister…

POV – Andrea – Gabriel blinks a couple times, and then finally nods, taking the first aid kit.

Gabriel
Ok…

WIDEN ON Gabriel as he turns away from his mother and races down the sidewalk to Mia (OS).

WIDEN ON Mia lying on the sidewalk, caught in her bike while she cries. Gabriel stops in front of her and quickly gets on his knees to help her.

Don’t worry Mia; it’s going to be ok. Um…

CLOSE ON the gears of Mia’s bike as Gabriel manages to loosen her slightly torn dress from it.

POV – Mia – looking up at Gabriel while he smiles calmly.

There…huh?

Gabriel frowns a little as he looks down at Mia’s dress.

POV – Gabriel – looking down at blood seeping through her white dress, Gabriel lifts it up to expose her scrapped knee.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Mia’s eyes widen as he face goes pale and frightened.

Mia
(scared)
Ew…I’m bleeding!!

CLOSE ON Mia’s knee as Gabriel put a bandage over the scrape.

POV – over Mia’s shoulder – looking up at her older brother as he smiles again.

Gabriel
There, you’re not bleeding anymore.

CLOSE ON Mia’s face as she blinks softly, looking up hopefully.

Mia
I’m not…? Mmff!

Mia closes her eyes while Gabriel playfully presses another bandage on her forehead.

CLOSE ON Mia and Gabriel as he smiles down at his sister.

Gabriel
Nope! Hehehehe…

Gabriel (present, VO)
(narrator)
That day, I truly became the older brother I always was.

FADE TO three years later.

Ext. Melodeena – park path – fall – day

PAN DOWN from the autumn leaves on the trees along each side of the path as a 10 year old Gabriel runs down the path (towards the screen) with Mia a bit behind.

We both had to grow up without a father…but it never seemed to bother her.

CLOSE behind Gabriel while he looks over his shoulder, wearing a school uniform.

Even before I promised I’d always protect her…

CLOSE ON Mia’s face as she rides after Gabriel calmly, wearing a helmet and smiling brightly.

She always had that smile…

CLOSE behind Gabriel as he keeps running ahead, he blinks once and then stops as he turns around.

Gabriel
Huh?!

WIDEN behind Gabriel to REVEAL Mia trapped in the middle of a circle of older bullies surrounding her, wearing the same school uniforms as Gabriel and Mia.

Gabriel (present VO)
(narrator)
It was something I could only hope to envy…

CLOSE ON (UV) Gabriel’s face while he leans in clinching his fists.

Gabriel
Hey! What’d you think you’re doing?!

CLOSE ON Mia, as she worriedly looks around her at all the bullies, starting to get really nervous while they grin and chuckle.

Bully #1 (OS)
Wow that’s quite a fancy pair of wheels you got there.

Bully #2 (OS)
Yeah, but I think it’d look better WITHOUT the basket, what ‘d you think?

Mia
Mm…Mmmm…um…well…

POV – Gabriel – the bullies all laugh while they surround Mia.

Gabriel (OS)
HEY!!! I’m talking to you!!!

Bullies
Uh?

All of the bullies turn their attention over to Gabriel.

POV – bullies – looking ahead at Gabriel as he stands with his fists clinched.

Bully #3
OOOOOH…what’d we got her? Big shrimp of a brother who thinks he’s real tough?

Gabriel
Leave her alone! My sister didn’t do anything! I’m warning you…

POV – bullies – the front bully laughs and looks ahead with a smugly.

Bully #3
Or else what? You’ll beat us up?

All of the bullies burst into a fit of boastful laughter.

CLOSE ON Mia while she nervously looks around at the circle of bullies as they laugh like hyenas.

Mia
Mm…

CLOSE ON (UV) Bully #3 stops laughing and grins boastfully.

Bully #3
It’s ten to one kid, just go run home to mommy and be grateful we’re not making a punching bag out of you-

Suddenly Gabriel cuts off Bully #3 as he tackles him into ground.

GAH!!!!

CLOSE ON (UV) four of the bullies as their eyes widen with surprise.

POV – over Gabriel – Mia’s eyes widen with deep concern as she leans over her bike..

Mia
Gabriel…?!

POV – Mia – Gabriel struggles to try and pin Bully #3 down while he looks ahead at Mia with seriousness in his eyes.

Gabriel
Grr…run Mia!! Go home! Quickly!!

POV – over Gabriel – Mia nods slowly and quickly gets moving on her bike as she races past Gabriel and Bully #3.

WIDEN ON Gabriel and Bully #3 after Mia races by, Bully #3 uses all his might and shoves Gabriel off of him.

Bully #3
GRAH!!

CLOSE ON Bully #4 as he looks down the road as Mia cycles down the park path.

Bully #4
Uh hey! That girl’s getting away!

Bully #3
GRRR…she doesn’t matter!

CLOSE ON Bully #3 as he angrily holds up Gabriel by the collar of his uniform.

Say tough guy…that was stupid stunt you just pulled…bet you’d do it again if we came after your sister a second time, wouldn’t you?

POV – Bully #3 – his eyes twitch a bit as he grits his teeth.

Gabriel
Grr…in a heartbeat…you bully…

POV – Gabriel – Bully #3 smirks and looks around at his comrades.

Bully #3
Bully huh? Heh…say boys…lets show this CHILD what he gets when he messes with a group of “bullies”…heh.

The other bullies crowd behind Bully #3, grinning as they all crack their knuckles.

PAN UP at the sky and the autumn leaves as sounds of numerous punching echoes.

Gabriel (present, VO)
It was my first fight, and I tried my best to fend them off…but it only took about ten minutes before I was knocked out.

FADE IN BLACK.

POV – Gabriel – eyes closed, he groans slowly because of an intense stinging feeling.

Gabriel (OS)
Ow…OW…OW!!!

Gabriel’s eyes open quickly to REVEAL Mia looking down on him caringly.

Mia
Brother! …You’re awake.

WIDEN ON Gabriel lying under a tree just beside the park path while Mia sits beside him while dabbing the bump on his forehead with the cotton ball laced with some kind of remedy.

Gabriel
(weakly)
Mi-Mia…?

Mia
Don’t worry; they’re gone now …

POV – Gabriel – looking up at his sister as she puts her hands down on her lap (OS).

Gabriel (OS)
What…? But I told you to go home…

Mia
I did Gabriel…I just needed to get the first aid kit …right?

PAN DOWN to Mia’s lap to REVEAL the opened first aid kid sitting there gently.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s eyes as they widen, surprised while he gasps lightly.

POV – over Mia’s shoulder – Gabriel looks up weakly at his sister, his eyes softening.

Gabriel
Mia…you came back to help me…

Gabriel closes his eyes, wincing a bit as Mia playfully presses a bandage on the bump his forehead. Gabriel opens his eyes and looks upward.

Mmff…uh…?

POV – Gabriel – Mia smiles innocently looking down at her older brother with the first aid kit on her lap.

Mia
Of course, you’ve done the same for me, big brother…

POV – over Mia’s shoulder – Gabriel smiles back as he looks back at his little sister.

Gabriel
Hehe…and I always will…little sister.

CLOSE ON Mia’s face while she smiles down at Gabriel (OS).

(OS)
Thank you…

Mia closes and tilts her head gently.

Mia
You’re welcome.

WIDEN ON Gabriel lying under the tree while Mia sits beside him tending to his wounds.

Gabriel (present, VO)
(narrator)
And on that day, Mia promised she’d always protect me as well, even if all she could do was tend to my wounds…little did I know, how often she’d be living up to that promise.

FADE TO that exact spot a few days later as Gabriel and Mia jog through the park path on their way home from school.

Because even in defeat just trying to defend my own sister…I had gained my first enemy.

CLOSE ON (SV) Mia giggling with Gabriel beside her while they job down the path peacefully. Gabriel looks over to his right.

POV – Gabriel – starring ahead at the dense collection of trees as he sees a group of figures in the distance, getting steadily closer.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s feet as he grinds to a halt.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face, he stares ahead at the trees (OS) with a heavy frown on his face, groaning slightly under his breath.

Mm…

WIDEN ON Gabriel as Mia walks back to him and looks up with a cautious concern, and her together against her chest.

Mia

POV – bully #3 – Gabriel quickly clinches his fist, looking very aggravated.

Gabriel’s eyes widen with surprise.

CLOSE ON bully #3 as he folds his arms, looking as intimidating as possible.

Besides, if we WERE after her, from here we’d be able to catch her in a second.

POV – bully #3 – Gabriel’s fists tighten in grip as he starts to glare ahead, trying to hide his nervousness and confusion.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face as he begins to shake a little.

CLOSE ON (UV) bully #3 while he cracks his knuckles.

WIDEN behind Gabriel while he looks ahead at the 10 bullies in front of him.

POV – Bully #3 Gabriel’s eyes twitch a little as he listens ahead.

CLOSE ON Gabriel as his eyes twitches hard, glaring deeper and gritting his teeth, body shaking all over.

PAN DOWN to Gabriel’s shaking and tightly clinched right fist as he growls furiously.

POV – Gabriel – the bullies all grin as Bully #3 looks side to side at all of them.

Alright guys, let’s make sure this kid never has a reason to want to fight again.

The other bullies all lift their arms in the air hooting and cracking their knuckles.

YEAH!!!!

CLOSE ON Bully #3 as suddenly he hears LOUD growling. He looks ahead quickly and blinks.

Bully #3
Huh?!

POV – Bully #3 – Gabriel storms right at him with all his might, head lower, growling monstrously LOUD with his right fist held back. ZOOM IN on Gabriel as he charges.

Gabriel
GRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!~

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s right fist, it FADES to Vengeance’s clinched fist as he thrusts a might punch, Gabriel’s yell morphing into Vengeance’s roar.

~RAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!

FADE OUT WHITE

WIDEN behind Gabriel as Bully #3 goes SLAMMING against the tree behind him, knocking it right over. The other bullies watch in utter shock, completely speechless.

(FV) Gabriel stands there breathing hard, his fists dangling limply as the bullies franticly check out their “leader”.

Bully #1
Boss?! Are you alright!?

Bully #2
Crap, his there’s blood everywhere!

Bully #4
Boss! Boss! Wake up!!!

POV – Gabriel – the bullies look over at Gabriel then at their fallen “leader” and then at each other in terrified fear.

Bully #5
Oh hell to this! Let’s just get out of here before we’re next!!

(FV) Gabriel continues to stand there, partly zoned out as the bullies all panic and storm away from the scene, abandoning their “leader”.

CLOSE ON Gabriel as he blinks and slowly lifts up his right fist, looking at all the blood on his hand.

(narrator)
I later found out they were more then bullies, they were a gang…and I had hospitalized their leader…but it was the last time I’d ever see the likes him or that gang…

Vengeance slowly FADES IN behind Gabriel, looking over his shoulder at the bloody fist, chuckling ominously.

It was the day I became a gang fighter…and the first time I fought out of vengeance…

ZOOM OUT into the dense trees and FADE IN BLACK. MONTAGE through various scenes of Gabriel caught in the middle of fights with many gangs, almost every time delivering that signature powerful right hook punch.

Word spread quickly; gangs would show up again and again, challenging me. As much as I declined, none would ever take no for an answer…they always pushed me until I’d fight back…I’d come home bruised and bloody…my grandfather would add to the wounds he if caught me like that…

Ext. outside the Kameato estate – evening

WIDEN ON a 12 year old and very wounded Gabriel wobbling down the sidewalk.

CLOSE ON Gabriel as he slowly lifts his head up and looks ahead up the sidewalk.

POV – Gabriel – looking ahead as someone stands just outside the Kameato estate waiting form him.

CLOSE ON an 11 year old Mia standing outside the gates of their home with the first aid kit tightly in her hands.

But Mia was always outside waiting for me with that first aid kit in her hands…she’d always clean up the blood and do her best to hide the bruises or cuts…but it was never like the first time…with time I even began to forget why I fought…only seeing her waiting for me would remind me briefly…but then…

MIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WIDEN ON the circle and the beam of energy shooting out of it as a fissure of energy shoots up, blasting Gabriel back all the way, sliding up across from Bell and Aaliyah.

POV – behind Gabriel as he looks ahead at the beam rising up as it spirals into a dark purple and black light.

MIAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

CLOSE ON the beam as the silhouette of a jagged demotic figure arches forward slides out slowly (back facing the screen). The figure arches back with its hands held out in a claw like formation roaring demonically.

Gabriel sits there completely speechless to a degree of numb mindlessness.

(faint whisper)
…Mia…?

WIDEN ON the figure standing where Mia once was, looking up with her eyes closed.

CLOSE ON (SV) the figure’s face as her eyes strike open and shift to look (at the screen) in the direction of the faint voice

I let her slip away…

POV – Gabriel – looking across at his mother, anger, sadness, heartbreak and disappointment spill out all across her face as she pounds her hands against the table.

And because of my promise to protect her, all of started!!! I gained enemies! She made the promise to protect me too! It isn’t fair!!! I only wanted to defend her! She wanted to do the same… But even defending the ones we love has a consequence…so why did she have to pay the price…?

FADE TO Mia sitting peacefully in the Kameato estate’s garden, dancing around playfully without a care in the world.

It’s because she was a Sin Prodigy…because she didn’t know of what would happen when The Seal of All Sin was in her hand…

CLOSE ON Mia’s face while she smiles brightly.

She didn’t do anything except what she felt was right…

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s fist at it BASHES against Gabriel’s forehead.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s feet as he grinds back, lifting off his heels and letting out an intense grunt.

WIDEN ON Bell, Ceres, Calcifer, Hiryuu and Aaliyah intently watching with wide eyes as they hear the loud impact.

WIDEN ON (OV) mainly of the intently watching Sin Prodigies, shocked and in suspense for all the hope they have left.

WIDEN ON The Enforcers on the other side of the bridge as they intently watch, many of their frowns lifting as they grit their teeth.

WIDEN ON (OV) Lucifer with his fist slammed right against Gabriel’s forehead.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Lucifer holds his glare as he hears Gabriel’s muttering growls while he tries to hold back the pain.

Huh?

CLOSE ON (OV) Gabriel’s face as blood begins to steam down his face.

I thought about what you asked me earlier, Lucifer…and to answer your question…

Gabriel raises his head to look ahead at Lucifer with a bit of a smirk.

These people are just like my sister, so I’ll always protect them, even if they can’t protect me in return!!!

CLOSE ON The Seal of All Sin inside Gabriel's pocket as it suddenly glows brightly.

WIDEN ON Lucifer and Gabriel as he jumps back from Lucifer’s fist and vanishes in mid air.

CLOSE ON Lucifer as he holds his right fist up to his face, blinking in a bit of shock.

Lucifer
What the~?

CLOSE ON (SV) Lucifer’s face as he turns quickly to face the screen and Gabriel’s left fist comes FLYING IN!!

HUH?!?!

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s eyes as they widen, Gabriel’s fist JUST missing by millimeter. He blinks again quickly.

WIDEN ON Lucifer as Gabriel delivers a right hook, JUST missing the side of Lucifer’s face and he quickly vanishes right after.

POV – Lucifer – panicked looking around as a small piece of the concrete ahead of him smashes into a crater. Lucifer quickly looks around counter clockwise.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s eyes as he tries to maintain a glare.

(thinking)
This isn’t right!

WIDEN (UV) behind Gabriel as he turns around quickly, a sudden force of wind and a blurry figure zooms past him.

CLOSE ON (SV) Calcifer’s face as his eyes widen and jaw drops.

Calcifer
Gabriel’s invisible?!

ZOOM OUT to Ceres as he looks ahead, holding his staring expression.

Ceres
No, just going impossibly fast, heh…I was wrong though.

Calcifer quickly looks over at Ceres with surprise.

Calcifer
Huh?! For once, but how?

POV – Ceres – Lucifer looks around him in a panicking state as a faint blur rushes in circles around him, every so often charging at Lucifer, forcing him to evade side to side.

Ceres
I likely nailed what Lucifer was thinking, but Gabriel…he wasn’t even thinking strategy, he was thinking about the question Lucifer asked him before they began starring… even Lucifer didn’t see it coming…no one did, and now I don’t even know if Gabriel knows what he’s doing, because speeds like this aren’t human…and definitely not what Lucifer was prepared for.

CLOSE ON Lucifer as he looks around and suddenly Gabriel slides in behind him, he blinks quickly and turns around.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s eyes as they widen, wincing with pain.

GAHHH~!!!

WIDEN ON (UV) Lucifer getting punched in the side as Gabriel quickly took the time he was using to turn to make his move. Gabriel vanished again.

WIDEN ON Bell, Ceres, Calcifer and Hiryuu as their eyes widen.

CLOSE ON Lucifer as he wobbles a bit, bending down a little as he holds his side, glaring.

CLOSE ON Hiryuu as he watches speechlessly.

CLOSE ON Calcifer’s face as his jaw drops.

Damn…he didn’t look like the kind of guy who’d have moves like these back on the train…

CLOSE ON Ceres’ face, as he remains calm.

WIDEN ON (UV) Lucifer while he looks around quickly.

DAMN IT! Show yourself!!!

Suddenly Gabriel rapidly skids in front of Lucifer.

CLOSE ON (OV) Gabriel’s feet as it lands on top of Gabriel’s shoes.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s face, his eyes widen as his jacket gets kicked up over his face and Gabriel’s knee rammed up his jaw.

WIDEN ON Lucifer as Gabriel grabs him by the shoulders, leaping both of them up in the air and delivering a powerful uppercut with his knee at the same time. Gabriel impossibly completes the flip as he crouches his legs; forcing Lucifer to land back first onto the ground with Gabriel launching himself off his chest as he smashes hard into the bridge.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s jacket swaying up to REVEAL his face as he arcs back, groaning out in pain with chunks of concrete go flying from the impact.

GRAH!!!

CLOSE ON Gabriel as he lands on his feet and turns around to the screen holding his right fist out.

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres and Calcifer as his jaw drops big time, eyes just stunned beyond belief.

POV – Hiryuu – Calcifer looks up (at the screen) at Aaliyah (OS).

Calcifer
Hey Aaliyah has Gabriel ever done this befo-uh?

Calcifer blinks and a SWEAT-DROP appears over his head.

POV – Calcifer’s shoulder – Hiryuu looks over with at Aaliyah with a SWEAT-DROP over his head also as Aaliyah franticly throws his fists around in the air yelling like a comical maniac at a sports game.

YES! YES! KILL HIM! RIP HIS HEAD OFF! SHOW HIM THE PAAAAAAAAIN!!!

POV – Hiryuu – Calcifer just sits there crouched down, blinking a couple times.

Oh…mustn’t be news to her, she doesn’t seem shocked at all.

Calcifer looks ahead at the fight.

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres’ face as Calcifer looks over at him with wide eyes.

CLOSE ON Lucifer while he lies on his back, slowly sliding his jacket off of his face. REVEAL his face with his eyes closed and that same cold frown.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s spread right hand as it twitches, slowly gripping against the concrete.

POV – behind Lucifer – Lucifer sits up slowly and without a single bit of sound escaping his mouth as he gets onto one knee, Gabriel stands ahead of Lucifer with his fists raised.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Lucifer keeps his head down as he gets up slowly, holding his jacket with his left hand and wobbling a little.

CLOSE ON Lucifer’s lips as he mutters.

Idiotic child…

(FV) Gabriel’s eyes twitch as he steps forward, clinching his fists tighter.

Using The Seal of All Sin’s power at its midpoint like it’s some kind of toy…or do you even realize what you’ve just done?!

POV – Gabriel – Lucifer gains his balance but keeps his head lowered.

An irresponsible trick that can be done with Essentiquities, including The Seal, is triggering its activation but using its powers without Assending. However it should never be done because the human body was not meant to handle such tremendous power!!

CLOSE ON (SV) Ceres as he pulled out his Essentiquity and looks down at it.

CLOSE ON Aaliyah as she lowers her arms and her cheers quickly silence.

WIDEN ON (OV) the many Sin Prodigies as their eyes widen, lost for words at what they’re witnessing.

CLOSE ON Bell as her eyes widen, just keeping her hands over her mouth.

POV – Hugin and Munin – glaring straight ahead at Gabriel as he remains in his battle stance.

You have no idea how much I wish I could kill you and your family!!!!

Hugin and Munin suddenly fly up into the sky.

CLOSE ON (OV) Gabriel as he looks up at Hugin and Munin (OS) in dismay.

Huh…?!

CLOSE ON Hugin as he folds his arms over his chest roaring out. ZOOM OUT as he spreads his arms at the same time as his wings with Munin right above him.

RAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CLOSE ON Hugin’s wings as all his feathers begin to fly out rapidly.

WIDEN ON Munin as he closes his eyes and folds his arms as the massive calamity of blade like feather spiral around him and suddenly he vanishes like the wind.

POV – over Gabriel’s shoulder – Hugin returns to the ground on one knee with his wings now gone and stands up again, facing Gabriel.

CLOSE ON Hugin as he glares coldly, gritting his teeth.

POV – behind Hugin – Gabriel looks ahead at Hugin with his fists lowered slightly.

CLOSE ON (SV) Aaliyah’s face as she looks on with her eyes widened. ZOOM OUT to Hiryuu, along with Calcifer and Ceres as they stand up, looking straight ahead. ZOOM OUT again to Bell while she just continues to speechlessly watch with her hands over her mouth.

CLOSE ON the left half of Hugin’s face while Gabriel stands in the background, with his fists raised once more.

This fight would be settled between you and me! We agreed on that! Are you really prepared to throw away your honor like this?!

WIDEN ON (SV) Hugin as he thrusts his right hand out at the Sin Prodigies.

POV – overhead of the speeding attack – the Sin Prodigies get closer and closer as they all look up, frozen in fear.

CLOSE ON Gabriel as he stands there quietly, gritting his teeth.

Lucifer…his actions… he’s chained down by his family’s traditions…

ZOOM IN on Gabriel’s eyes as they widen in a sudden shock and realization.

WIDEN ON (UV) random Sin Prodigies in the crowd as they all put their arms over their heads and scream, moving away as they try to dodge the blade like feathers coming down over them and cutting many of them.

CLOSE ON Gabriel as he thrusts his left arm out pleadingly.

Gabriel rushes at Hugin as fast as he can.

POV – behind Hugin – he turns around quickly with his glare growing colder by the second.

GR!!! SHUT UP!!!!

Hugin thrusts his right arm and point at Gabriel (the screen).

WIDEN ON the barrage of blade like feathers coming down on the Sin Prodigies as the “beam” curves and begins firing above them and proceeding down the bridge (OS).

CLOSE ON (SV) Hugin points ahead at Gabriel (OS) as the “beam of blades feathers races past him (in the foreground) in his appointed direction.

WIDEN ON Gabriel as he charges ahead with his right fist held back.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s face as his eyes widen, seeing the feathers all coming right at him now.

What?!

WIDEN ON Gabriel he stops, shielding his face with his arms as all the blade like feather come charging in, right on target.

CLOSE and PAN DOWN ON Gabriel as he screams for his life while the blade like feathers surround him, cut him up EVERYWHERE.

WIDEN ON (SV) Bell, Ceres, Calcifer, Hiryuu and Aaliyah as everyone except Bell and Ceres step forward, eyes widened.

Bell collapses to her knees suddenly.

CLOSE ON (FV) Bell as she shakes her head, burying it in her hands as she cries and screams uncontrollably.

WIDEN (UV) behind Hugin as the blade like feathers finish their strike and swoop back up into the cloud of feathers over Hugin (OS), leaving Gabriel just standing there.

CLOSE ON Hugin’s glaring face.

POV – Hugin – Gabriel begins to fall to his left.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s as he collapses, eyes fluttering faintly, his clothes completely torn to pieces with cuts all around him.

CLOSE ON Gabriel’s pale face with his jaw limply dropped.

POV – Bell – Gabriel collapses in the distance and lies there lifelessly while Hugin stands ahead of the crowd watching with his cloud of blade like feathers floating over him.
